falling or flying

"Evening brought the breeze, channelled by the concrete blocks, blowing across Singapore... Evening brought light, flooding the coridors of the concrete blocks and lining the roads. The daytime of tinted windows and air-conditioning was giving way to the night-time of fluorescent tubes and halogen headlights. White then red flashed the cars speeding past on the road outside Ah Leong's window. Across the country televisions were coming on and video cassette recorders plugged in. Husbands greeted wives and changed channels..."

First Loves

she:Do want you want Dad, I love you no matter what (giggle).

him:In the land of the Lotus eaters, time plays tricks on you. One day you're dreaming and the next your dream has become your reality.
It was the best of times, if only someone had told me.
Mistakes were made, hearts were broken. Harsh lessons learned.
My family goes on without me. Whilst i drown in a sea of pointless pussy. I don't know how i got here, but here i am. Rotting away in the warm California sun.
There are things i need to figure out, for her sake at least.
The clock is ticking, the gap is widening.
She won't always love me, no matter what.

Her:Hudson, what are you looking for in a relationship?

Him:Hah.. just well basically, someone who can stand to be with me i guess..

You?

Her:Well, I want to know that if my limbs fall off, we'd still be together no matter what. And when he says my name it sounds different in his mouth. You know, like it's safe there.
Or, I put on a perfume and he puts on cologne and we go out and we can smell each other.
Or you know, they make you smile when you're tired.
That's a big one.
Or you tell them something that you're scared to tell them cause you're afraid it'll make them stop loving you. But when you tell them you're surprised because it actually makes them love you more.

Or you tell them that you love their shirt and they end up wearing it everyday.

But my greatest example of this is my grandparents.
My grandmother has arthritis in her hands and she can't bend down to paint her toes, so my grandfather does it for her, all the time.
Even though he has arthritis in his hands too.
